The third of William and Mary Robertshaw’s children, William, was born in Ontario, Canada on 24 May 1846. A cooper by trade, William married Nancy Jane Pilkie (b. abt 1853) in 1870. "They had nine children that I know of."

William and Nancy Jane’s third child, Lot, married a woman named Jemima Ida May Lougheed (b. ca 1881) in 1900, and had two children: a daughter named Evangeline, and a son named Audrey.
Fourth child, Margaret, married John Emms in 1904.
Alice married Henry Jinks in 1896, and brother Frank married Lilly Lack in 1909.
Youngest child, Jane, married James Ritchie in 1909, also.
Both Frank and Jane married their spouses just two months after their father's death, in Sept. 1909 (see article).
All of the above took place in Ontario.
This Robertshaw clan was the last of the family to leave Ontario for Port Huron around 1906/07. It was in Port Huron where William died on 1 Sept 1909. There is an article in the Port Huron Daily Times Herald newspaper dated 2 Sept 1909 about his death, only William is listed as William Shaw - not Robertshaw. In the next day’s paper is his obituary where he is listed as William Robert Shaw - Robert as his middle name. I have checked the death records for this time period and there was no William Shaw that died at that time - only Wliiam Robertshaw. This happens frequently with the Robertshaw documents and I find it humorous when a female is listed as “Mary Robert Shaw.

It seems that this branch of the Robertshaw clan moved back to Ontario soon after William's unfortunate demise.
This is all I have on this particular branch.
